ENHANCING WORKPLACE SAFETY: HMG ORGANIZES INTERNATIONAL STANDARD FIRST AID & CPR TRAINING

With the goal of building a workplace environment that is not only professional but also maximally safe for our personnel, HMG recently collaborated with Survival Skills Vietnam (SSVN) to successfully organize the training course: "BASIC FIRST AID AND LIFE SUPPORT CPR".

This is a practical initiative designed to equip our staff with international standard medical knowledge, enabling them to remain calm and proactive in handling emergencies, thereby minimizing health risks both at the workplace and in daily life.

1. In-depth and Practical Training Content
The 8-hour training session was led by experts from SSVN. The program was meticulously designed to combine medical theory with scenario-based practice, covering key topics:

- Emergency Approach Principles: Mastering the DR.CAB and DRS.ABCD protocols to assess the scene and ensure safety before intervention.

- CPR & AED Usage: Practicing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (chest compressions + rescue breathing) for cardiac arrest cases, combined with instructions on using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

- Handling Common Accidents: Skills to manage choking (foreign object airway obstruction), drowning, stroke, and heart attack recognition.

- Injury Management: Techniques for external bleeding control (using bandages and tourniquets), fracture immobilization, and treating burns, electrical injuries, and soft tissue damage.

2. Theory Goes Hand in Hand with Practice
Beyond theory, the training emphasized hands-on practice. HMG members were divided into groups to perform first aid techniques directly on models and in simulated scenarios.

Under the dedicated guidance of SSVN instructors, our staff mastered the correct posture for chest compressions, proper bandaging techniques, and safe methods for moving victims. The session was filled with an energetic and eager-to-learn spirit.

3. Commitment to Competence and Safety
Upon completing the course and passing the assessment test, participants were awarded the Statement of Attainment. This certification is recognized by SSVN and Survivor Training (Australia), in accordance with the current guidelines of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).

Organizing this First Aid training is a clear testament to HMG's commitment to placing "People" at the center of our operations. We believe that every HMG employee is not only professionally skilled but also a responsible individual, ready to support the community and colleagues whenever an incident occurs.
